Father Stephen Smith
Fr Stephen has been the vicar of St Mark’s, and St Gabriel’s, Middleton Junction since May 2017. Originally from Miles Platting in Manchester he was ordained in 2004 from the diocese of Blackburn after living in Accrington for some years. During his ministry Fr Stephen has served in parishes in Burnley, Haslingden and St Annes on Sea, as well as assisting at various churches in Accrington as a Self-Supporting Minister. His induction as vicar of St Mark’s and St Gabriel’s marked his return to full-time ministry. Fr Stephen is a widower with two children and six grandchildren.
